Ordering Policies
BOB SELMAN DESIGNS - POLICIES: [rev. 07-10-08]
MINIMUM ORDER: : Minimum online order is $20.00. Orders less than $20.00 may be called in, but there will be a $5.00 handling charge on orders less than $20.00 plus shipping.
DOMESTIC SHIPPING: We ship most of our orders via USPS Priority mail. Cost is
based on weight and ship-to location. USPS Priority mail usually takes 2 to 3
days to reach most locations. There is a USPS Express shipping option.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Due to postal regulation changes, future orders should
be insured. The post office no longer has a procedure for tracing lost packages
unless they are insured. International Express can be insured, but each country
has a different limit that you may wish to check. International First Class Mail is
not insured, and the package is shipped at the customer’s risk. You may go
to www.usps.com to get shipping information—just click on “calculate
postage.” All customs statements will reflect the retail value of your
order.
MISSING AND/OR INCORRECT ITEMS IN ORDER: Please contact us via e-mail (jselman@joplin.com)
or phone (417-358-9521) for individual resolution.
RETURNED MERCHANDISE FOR REFUND: Any items returned for full refund must be returned
within 30 days of purchase and must be unused and undamaged and in resalable
condition. There will be a restocking fee of 20%. You must contact us via e-mail
or phone before you ship the returned items, and we recommend that you insure
your package as we will not refund items unless we receive them in undamaged
and resalable condition. All static sensitive items must be in static shielding
packaging.
RETURNED MERCHANDISE FOR REPAIR: Please contact us via e-mail or by phone before
returning an item for repair. There will be charges for replacement parts, labor,
and shipping. If we are unable to make the required repair, then we will forward
the item to the manufacturer and their charges will be added to the invoice total.
Repairs will be given priority as much as time and circumstances allow. There
is no warranty on electronics. PLANTRACO ACTUATORS: The wires are so fragile,
we acknowledge that they are easily broken, possibly in shipping. They are not
easy to repair, therefore if you contact us for return of the actuator within
30 days of shipping date, we will replace your actuator with a new one for 50%
off retail price. NO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT CONSIDERATION WILL BE MADE IF THE RETURNED PART IS NOT ADEQUATELY PACKED FOR SHIPPING. PLEASE DO NOT RETURN PART IN ANY KIND OF ENVELOPE—NOT A PADDED ENVELOPE NOR A CARDBOARD ENVELOPE. PLEASE SEND IN A STURDY BOX.
DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE: All defective items can be returned for refund or exchange;
however you must call or e-mail us before returning the item. All returns of
defective items will only be refunded or replaced if we have been contacted within
30 days of purchase. Refunds will be pro-rated depending on the condition of
the item and items will be refunded or replace at our discretion. Your lack of
knowledge or ability is not our responsibility. We accept no responsibility for
crash damage, nor do we accept responsibility for improper installation of the
items we sell.
DAMAGED OR LOST ORDERS: Please notify us about any damage and we will facilitate
any claim processes that may apply. If you choose to accept shipment of a damaged
package, it may be to your advantage to open it in the presence of a postal employee.
If you have opened a damaged package and found some item within damaged, please
call us immediately to discuss possible replacement. At our discretion we may
replace lost shipments for cost and shipping.
PRIVACY POLICY: We will not share or sell your private information with any other
company or individual without your written permission. We do like to facilitate
friendships and contacts, but will not give out personal information, including
e-mail addresses without contacting you first and receiving your permission.
The exception to this rule is if you are a vendor as well as a customer, in which
case we may direct customers to your e-mail address. At this time we do not advertise
via the mail or e-mail or make telephone solicitations. We may decide to do so
in the future, but wish to assure you that contacts will be minimal and as unobtrusive
as possible.
DOING BUSINESS: We reserve the right to refuse to do business with any individual
or other business at our discretion.
